Virgo and Virgo compatibility score
Strong match
Sun-sign score, two Virgo Suns
Two Virgos make strong friends first, and the match is strong overall. Friendship and talk lead, because two adjusting earth signs share standards without explaining them. Marriage trails but stays good, as two mutable signs can each wait for the other to choose. The fight that keeps coming back is method: both know the right way, and the ways differ.
Strengths
- Each notices what the other does without being told
- Plans that bend easily when two mutable minds talk
- Friends who catch what the other forgot
Challenges
- Two right methods and nobody ready to drop theirs
- A suggestion lands on someone who already saw the flaw
- Neither wants to choose while the other has doubts

Virgo and Virgo in love, sex, friendship and marriage
Love
74% · Good
Two Virgos tend to fall for being noticed: the remembered detail, the small repair done before anyone asked. The romance is good and steady, if quiet. Trouble starts when noticing slides into correcting, and a thank-you arrives with 'next time, though' tacked on. Let appreciation stand by itself, and save the fix for another day.
Sex
72% · Good
Between two earth signs who pay close attention, closeness is good and grows with trust rather than arriving all at once. The snag is two people each quietly waiting to hear they got it right, so neither fully relaxes. Say what you liked without being asked, and take turns being the one who says it first.
Communication
80% · Strong
Two Mercury-ruled, mutable signs can talk a plan through for an hour and adjust it as they go, so everyday conversation runs strong. It stalls only when both are certain. Ask each other what you'd have to see to drop your own way, then go and look.
Friendship
84% · Strong
A Virgo friend to a Virgo is the one who helps you move and also mentions that the shelf is a hair off level. Of everything two Virgos share, friendship comes easiest: same standards and the same eye. Leave room for a suggestion to be turned down.
Marriage
70% · Good
Two Virgos who marry keep a careful, well-run home. The marriage still trails everything else they share, because two adjusting signs can circle a big decision for months. When a choice has stalled, name the doubt that's holding you back, out loud, so the other can answer it instead of guessing.

Virgo and Virgo compatibility by birth date
Your Venus, Mercury and Mars signs can lift or lower the Sun-sign score. Two birth dates give you a personal score in all five areas, with no birth time and no account needed.
Enter both birth dates, from 1900 to today. We look up the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars for each date, then score and compare them by sign. No birth time needed.
These results belong to the previous entries. Compare again to refresh them.
Each pair of signs gets a short reading and a question to ask each other.
Some signs couldn't be confirmed
A date alone doesn't tell us the birth time or time zone, so we allow extra room around each position. Here that allowance covers two signs, which doesn't mean the planet changed signs that day. Both candidates are shown and counted in the score's range, and the written reading waits for one confirmed sign. The birth chart calculator opens empty, so you can enter either person's details.
Check the placement with birth time and placeThis tool compares Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars signs. It doesn't calculate Moon compatibility or exact aspects, and rising sign and houses need a birth time and place.

Two careful people, two right ways
Sunday morning, the back garden, one raised vegetable bed. In March one of you planted the tomatoes from a companion-planting chart printed off a gardening site, with basil between each pair. The other got home last night from a week away and has already dug up half of them and replanted by last year's notebook of yields and a soil-acidity kit, because the chart 'doesn't account for the shade from the fence.' Both have notes, and both are sure.
Either of you could be the one holding the chart. Both of you have evidence, and that's what makes it hard. When one Virgo meets another, the argument is rarely about effort or mess. It's about whose careful way wins, between two people who agree on the standard and disagree on the method, and who can each see the other's method as the sloppy one.
Noticed by someone who notices everything
The pull between two Virgos usually starts with being noticed. One remembers how the other takes their coffee after hearing it once. The other spots the wobbly chair leg on a first visit and turns up with a screwdriver on the second. Having your effort spotted without pointing it out is a large part of the attraction.
That's also why friendship and talk score highest. Two earth signs with the same standards care about the same small things, and two mutable signs adjust a plan easily while they talk it over. Romance needs more deliberate room. Two Virgos can go weeks showing love only through jobs done, so keep some evenings where nothing gets fixed, and say out loud that you're glad it's them on a day when nothing has gone wrong.
One sign, counted twice
Ptolemy files Virgo among his bicorporeal, or two-bodied, signs, and his reason is the calendar rather than the picture: these signs close one season and lean into the next, and Virgo ends summer as the autumn equinox comes up (Tetrabiblos I.11). The Maiden is drawn as a single figure, so Bill Thayer, who edits the online text, adds in a note that 'Virgo is not to be imagined as having two bodies'. The season really does turn fast. By our calculation for New York, daylight shrinks by about 81 minutes across one Virgo season. Modern astrology calls the two-bodied signs mutable.
Same sign falls outside the aspect list in I.13, though his translator, F. E. Robbins, notes that the book treats a conjunction as an aspect throughout. What matters more for two Virgos is the sign's standing with the planets. Virgo is Mercury's house on the Sun's half of the zodiac and also the sign where Mercury is exalted, a double standing the Virgo guide explains, and it's where Venus sits at its weakest, in its depression (I.19). Venus keeps a job here even so. Ptolemy gives the triangle of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn to the Moon for the night and to Venus for the day (I.18).
On October 26, 2026, zodiacsign.com rated two Virgos 65 out of 100 and AskNebula rated them 93. Ours lands in the strong band, with friendship on top and marriage at the bottom.
Same Sun, often a different Mercury
A Virgo Sun has three possible Mercury signs: Leo, Virgo or Libra. Put two Virgo dates side by side and the most common Mercury pairing is one in Virgo with one in Libra, in 35.4% of modeled pairs counting either order. Both in Virgo comes next at 25.5%, and the two Mercury signs match at all in 39.9%. In the commonest case, then, two Virgos think in different signs.
Astrologers read Mercury in Virgo as method first: find the right procedure, then follow it. Mercury in Libra tends to weigh options against each other and ask what's fair to both sides. Give them one project and you get two careful plans built on different questions.
Birth month moves this a little. Two August Virgo dates share a Mercury sign in 43.0% of modeled pairs and two September dates in 43.5%, more often than an August date with a September one. If one of you is an August Virgo and the other a September one, check the two Mercury signs in the Virgo and Virgo comparison above before assuming they match. Late in the sign the balance tips: from 20° of Virgo on, Mercury was in Libra more often than in Virgo, on 299 of 574 dates in our sample, and never in Leo.
Two right ways in one raised bed
Half the bed now follows the notebook and half still follows the chart, and the basil sits in a bucket by the shed until someone decides where it goes. The chart Virgo trusts a printed source: someone tested companion planting and wrote it down. The notebook Virgo trusts last year's yields from this exact bed and a soil test taken in the fence's shade. Each sees the other's evidence as the shortcut. Two Virgos have this argument over and over, about the pantry, the budget or how to hang a shelf, and it goes nowhere while each is defending a method.
Defending stops when each of you says what would prove your own way wrong. A few rules two Virgos tend to respect:
- Before anyone moves another plant, each names the result that would make them drop their method: fewer ripe tomatoes by August, say, or more blight.
- Pick one measure you'll both accept, such as ripe tomatoes per plant on the kitchen scale, and write it down.
- Keep everything else equal, the same water and the same feed, so the only difference left is the method.
- When the result goes against you, say so before the other has to point it out.
Where Venus sits on two Virgo birthdays
Most Virgo Suns don't have Venus in Virgo; it's more often in Leo or Libra. Two Virgo dates have neighboring Venus signs in 38.5% of modeled pairs. Venus in Leo with Venus in Libra is the commonest pairing of all, and both in Virgo turns up less than half as often.
In bed, the risk for two Virgos is the running check: was that right, did you like that? A partner with Venus in Leo may want more said out loud, and one with Venus in Libra more ease and less checking. Let an awkward moment stay awkward, and laugh at it together. Find out which Venus sign each of you has, compare notes with a reading of Venus in Virgo if one of you has it, and check where each Mars sits if you keep different paces.
Friends first, married slower
Two Virgo friends rarely have to ask each other for help, because each spots the need first: the overdue car service, the email that's been sitting unanswered for a week. Friendship is where this pair is best: shared standards, and help that arrives with a better method attached.
As a marriage, two Virgos are good together, with a well-kept home and few loud fights. The thing to watch over the years is checking that slides from the job to the person, from 'is the bill paid?' to 'why did you pay it that way?' When a remark like that stings, say so the same day; two Virgos can sit on a hurt for weeks and call it being reasonable. The reading is the same for two women, two men, or a woman and a man. A Virgo parent with a Virgo child will spot the child's mistakes early, since they're the parent's own; praise the method the child chose before fixing the result. At work two Virgos make a careful review team once they split the pages, and when both mark the same line, the person whose page it is makes the call.
Correction that turns personal, the 'you always correct me' feeling, is what astrologers tie to one person's Saturn touching the other's Mercury. They compare the two Mercury signs first, since a different Mercury is the usual case, then look for that Saturn contact from either side. Pull both birth charts, with times, to find it, and read a synastry chart contact by contact for what each link means. If the Moon is in Virgo for either of you, the Moon in Virgo reading adds the emotional side, and Virgo's other eleven matches show where this one ranks.
Weighing the tomatoes in August
By August the tomatoes are in, and the two Mercury signs shape what the argument has turned into.
A replanter with Mercury in Virgo, facing a partner with the same Mercury, argues procedure: 'The chart never measured this bed's shade, and my notebook did.' The answer is a second printout, and both end up weighing tomatoes on the kitchen scale with nobody ready to concede.
A replanter with Mercury in Libra, facing a Mercury in Virgo, the commonest pairing, makes it about fairness: 'Your half, my half, and we compare at the end of August.' The chart Virgo may hear that as fair, or as a polite way of never admitting the chart was wrong. What's still open is next March: whose plan goes into the whole bed, or whether it stays split for good.
How the Virgo and Virgo score works
We score two signs from four traditional relationships: the distance between them, their elements, their modalities and their ruling planets. Each area weighs them differently, and the headline score is the average of the five areas. Two Virgo Suns share one element (earth), one modality (mutable) and one ruler (Mercury).
The distance sets the base for every area: a trine or sextile starts high, a square or quincunx starts low, and an opposition starts high for sex and lower for friendship. Elements shift it (two air signs talk easily, two fire signs run hot), as do modalities (two fixed signs are loyal and slow to give way). Two different signs with the same ruling planet, a Venus-ruled sign with a Mars-ruled sign, or the Sun with the Moon add a little more. Every Sun-sign pairing on ZodiScope's compatibility pages uses the same rules, so the numbers above can be compared with any other pairing here.
Virgo and Virgo in our 1950–2005 date sample
These estimates pair two dates drawn independently from the 1950–2005 sample, with equal weight for every date within each Sun sign. They show how often each Venus and Mercury combination turns up, which is why two real people with these Sun signs can score differently.
Both Venus signs repeat the Sun pair
6.2%
of modeled date pairs have Venus in Virgo for the Virgo Sun and Venus in Virgo for the Virgo Sun
Both Mercury signs repeat the Sun pair
25.5%
of modeled date pairs repeat the Sun signs in Mercury. Across all modeled pairs, Mercury signs share an element in 39.9%; Venus signs in 25.6%
| Virgo Venus | Virgo Mercury |
|---|---|
| Leo 30.3% | Virgo 50.5% |
| Libra 25.8% | Libra 35% |
| Virgo 24.8% | Leo 14.5% |
| Scorpio 10.5% | |
| Cancer 8.6% |
Most common Venus pairings in this model: Leo with Libra (15.6%), Leo with Virgo (15%), Libra with Virgo (12.8%). Reversed Venus pairings are combined because both Sun signs are the same. Mars can occupy any sign with either Sun sign. The most frequent Mars signs on sampled Virgo dates are Virgo (17%), Leo (16.1%), Libra (12.3%), Scorpio (12.1%).
Mercury and Venus figures come from one noon UTC position a day, January 1, 1950 to December 31, 2005 (20,454 days), with each pair built from two Virgo dates picked independently, so they count combinations of birthdays, never real couples.

Virgo and Virgo questions
Who gives in first when two Virgos disagree?
Whoever cares less about that particular thing should give in first, and say so out loud so it counts. Two mutable signs adjust quickly once the question becomes 'what works?' instead of 'who's right?', so turn the disagreement into a test of results where you can. If the same person yields every time, talk about that pattern rather than the next disagreement.
How should two Virgos handle criticism from each other?
Ask what they've already tried before offering a note, then add only what they haven't considered. Two Virgos notice the same flaws, so a note usually lands on someone who already saw the problem and has been turning it over. If the answer is 'not now', take it at face value. On the receiving end, say which part helped, even if it stung.
Why does Ptolemy call Virgo two-bodied?
Because of the season, not the picture. Ptolemy's two-bodied signs are the four that end a season, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, and each carries some of the weather of the next; Virgo closes summer as autumn approaches. His Loeb editor notes that Virgo is the one of the four whose figure isn't drawn as two-bodied. Modern astrology calls these signs mutable.
