Overview
Zodiscope (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and store it, and the choices you have. By using Zodiscope, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever. All data is stored in the United States via Google Cloud infrastructure.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences (such as dark mode), and collect aggregate analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your birth data or personal readings for advertising profiling.
3. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored in Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure located in the United States. Specifically:
- Firebase Authentication — manages your account credentials. Passwords are never stored in plaintext.
- Cloud Firestore — stores your profile, birth data, and reading history.
- Google Cloud Run — processes horoscope generation requests. Requests are not persistently logged beyond standard infrastructure monitoring.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest using Google’s default encryption.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the public marketing site (zodiscope.io). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized data such as page views, session duration, and traffic sources.
Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to your personal account. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with a limited set of trusted third-party services to operate Zodiscope. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Auth & Firestore (Google) — authentication and database storage
- Google Cloud Run — serverless compute for horoscope microservices
- astrology-api.io — third-party astrology calculation API. Only your birth data is sent, no email or identifying information.
- Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics on the marketing site
We do not share your personal information with any advertising networks, data brokers, or unaffiliated third parties.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile, birth data, and reading history are deleted from Firestore within 30 days.
- Your authentication record is removed from Firebase Auth.
- Aggregate, anonymized analytics data is not tied to your identity and is retained for service improvement purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information via your account settings
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export / Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
